Enemies are more than just little blobby tentacles now. Here's a peak at one. One of the enemies from DG will be making a return, but the animations are all new. Right now it's looking like there will be 5 or 6 enemies types in total.

Jungle Girl.
It came out of the blue, suddenly and without fanfare. Just sort of appeared one day. Another flash game in the pile of thousands of flash games that get submitted to newgrounds every day. It got average ratings, missed the weekly top 20, and wasn't promoted anywhere. Now it iss the 67th most popular flash on NG out of hundreds of thousands of entries and approaching 5.5 million views.
Where did it come from? Why was it made? What's the big deal?
Hentai games suck. I've gone over this before, even listed a bunch of reasons as to why that is, and you're free to disagree with me. But in my mind that is how it goes. Most hentai "games" can be divided into these genres:
- Animated Storybooks: Focus on plot and characters, except the characters struggle to be even one-dimensional and the plot is either completely stupid or horrifically cliched. Takes forever to get to any actual nudity and often delivers little more than a static image or two. Quality writing generally equates to a clever wisecrack now and then.
- Dress-up Dolls: Little to no pornographic content. Little to no animation. Little to no gameplay. Little to no interesting features.
- Interactive Movies: Small cartoons that you have the incredible privelage of clicking through. If you're really lucky, you can choose one of three poses!
- Slideshows: Interactive movies without the interaction, or the movies.
None of which really deserve to be called games. Which is pretty sad, when you think about it. Pong is a game. It involves moving a white line up and down. For maximum excitement, you can get two people to move white lines up and down. Someone made a game out of two white lines and a white square yet entire studios of people working for months can't come up with anything better than Dialogue Tree Adventure #3451.
Here I am, with hentai and gaming as two of my favourite hobbies. The two seem like a match made in heaven (or hell, being sinful and all). But I look around and see nothing but derivative, painfully boring crap. So I sought out to change everything! To challenge what the concept of a hentai game can be and uncover the true potential of the genre!
Right!? Partly. Did I want hentai games to be better? Yeah, of course. If making Jungle Girl took even a tiny step in the right direction that was definitely desirable. But then again if you look at the game its primary (read: only) gameplay mechanic is three-button pattern recognition. Not exactly tearing down walls with that, eh? So logically for me to go and half ass it like that there must have been other reasons too.
You see, if everyone is making picture books it means that no one is making hentai games with actual gameplay. Yet, obviously, that sort of game is possible to make. What this means is that there's a void to fill when it comes to both hentai and gaming -- two large markets. There's a desire for content that isn't being delivered. The result is that anyone who fills the gap gets to be a super attention whore! ^^
And to top it off I was curious just what the response would be. What is it like being the guy who makes stuff like that? Who is actually interested in it? Just how far can you go with this sort of thing? I'm still finding out.
Ambition, self-promotion, and curiosity. I guess that's where Jungle Girl came from. Hmmm, not too interesting, but that's how it is.

This doesn’t really sound to dissimilar to a social experiment. Create a product and view its reception, I think you’ve been more than pleased with what people have said. Perhaps there are people listening to this, perhaps even now Japan is churning out demon girl and jungle girl spin offs. If we are extraordinarily lucky though they may even be creating something entirely new, inspired by your bold steps towards fully fledged games.
well i am with nunu on that since those games are quite popular no wonder that one day one alike came out anyway that doesnt mean that those will have same charm that marvel games have

The new baddie looks good. It's 3-dimensional appearance is an improvement on the already good graphics of DG.
To address some of the what-makes-good-hentai qs that have been floating about, my two cents:
I think for tentacle hentai to be good there has to be an element of the girl thinking "I shouldn't be liking this, but I am!!" combined with "I'm a bit scared, but liking this!!"
When the girl is 100% in either way (as in totally loving it, or totally hating it), it's not as good...and I agree with whoever it was that said that 2d hentai is better as it gets the imagination going better than 3d stuff.
Wonder which enemy from DG will be in MG.
I'm guessing either the dismembered member, or the tentacle that loves holes so much it lives in one.
My guess is either the ghost, or the blue blob with a green bit in it.
You're right about the story games. I'm fully aware of how boring and frustrating it is to sit and click through meaningless dialogue hour and after hour for nothing more than a jpeg to gawk at. Not very rewarding, and too many of the plots are set in high schools. Why?
You'd think there would be people willing to make hentai mods to existing games. Not the same old crappy nude hacks.
It is strange that so much content for games exists to make them more lude without actually making them more mature. Thinking back to games such as Neverwinter Nights where searching for mature content basically produced nothing other than “jiggle” mods and nude patches… there was potential for actual development of a perfectly reasonable game that just had mature content, even if the best of it was only text and a nude patch. No one bothered to do anything worth while with them even though that option was there. There have been some games that skirted this but never really went the whole way, mainly for market reasons. Mature content was used as an added bonus or a little extra. I remember Fallout 2 where you could visit brothels and such but even then it’s just a few words or Baldur’s Gate 2 with getting one of your party members pregnant. I guess it’s just about people wanting to do something like that but not willing to take the risk
your games are popular LM because you hit the target spot on...most hentai games out there are garbage...i have found a few others myself that arent too terribly bad but most are garbage...but with yours there is the element of struggle...the thrill of the chase...actually trying to avoid getting fuked but even if it happens you dont mind because its a treat for the eyes...you win even when you lose...whats not to like?!?!? and the interactivity is FAR superiour to anything out there currently...i have seen demon girl on MANY other sites...the word is getting out that LM is the best in the business...all the japanese garbage that comes out is now going to have to raise its quality in order to compete...Lm you have literally started a "hentai race" wether the japanese know it or not...sooner or later BOOM i bet ya something better then your game will come out then if ur still around you will make something better...more artists step in and start making thier own stuff...before you know it adult stores will actually start SELLING this kind of stuff...For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction...and you have litterally made the first "big push"...in all honesty i think thats a good thing...i just hope your able to reap some of the benifits and not get into trouble :) keep in mind this could be YEARS down the line but it is now innevitable...all thanks to you...the actions of a single person have drastic results reaching far and wide...it only takes time for the echo to travel before someone returns it :)...anyways blah blah blah enough bs good pic for the monster will keep checking the site every day to see the next update or blog or whatever...good luck LM!

LM just gotta say, jungle girl was my first step on both hardcore and tentacle hentai, havn't had the nerve to go much further, I'm quite happy with things like Demon Girl. So congrats on corrupting an "innocent" (yeah right) and that look forward to more of your work.

Actually someone mentioned NWN, there was lots of mature hakpaks, and modules for that game. I know, I played throuhg a lot of them.
There are some good hentai games that actually uses gameplay. Usually RPG or some sort of RPGRTS-ish. These are usually old, definetly not mainstream and most asuredly on Japanese.
Oh and then we have the more advanced 3d games, like Sexy Beach. Which is nothing more than a glorified dating sim game with sex(draging the mouse forward and backward...).
So can the tentacles be made more dick-like this time around? Or is that not allowed on Newgrounds? I just think more phallic looking tentacles would be cool.

That’s probably because the ones that have plots aren’t games and often enough the only point is inside something... although it would be nice that in further iterations or explorations into hentai games an evolving story is tied into it, as it generally makes for a more immersive feel. Because as LM demonstrated in his section on familiarity breeds lust, feeling something for the character heightens the experience.
agreed nunu it does highten the experience...i to am hoping he is close to release but if past expereince has taught me anything its that u have to be patient with LM as usually he is busy doing other things...so until then i will play the other lesser games out there and enjoy those until such a time where LM releases his current project...i will admit thought he is alot faster this time around with updates lol i remember waiting almos a month at one point for an update or even just him popping in and saying sorry no progress made and then bearing the brunt of a tomato volley :P lol or chairs or rubber chickens vulgar language threat of bodilly harm etc etc LMFAO...
I personally get nothing out of looking at pictures, not of hentai nor (mostly) of real women.
I like real videos though and i like hentai games but not hentai 'videos.' A simple hentai animation of something doesnt really do it for me, when its hentai I need to be in control, i guess this is because it seems more real if you are in control whereas real videos seem real for obvious reasons (they are real ;P)
my guess is the jumper is an attacker of the chest rather then lower or upper...only time will tell...or if LM says what it does...i hope he doesnt though i would rather be shock and awed playing the game :D...would prolly ruin the game if he told what it did...atleast for me it would...
To add my 2 cents: I tend to view hentai, and anime for that matter, as simply a different medium for the expression of art. To me, it is no different than poser work or real videos.
Tentacle porn in particular is appealing to me because it combines bondage (of women) with the ability to stimulate all of a woman's erogenous zones to drive her to constant ecstasy.
As for hentai games, most are garbage. However, you do come across the occasional gem. Anyone ever visit a site called DLSite? It has a large database of hentai for sale.
One good one to look into (not tentacle but I like it) is Kasumi Flash. It's like the number one top seller out of there. It's extremely well drawn and animated but it's gameplay is somewhat limited.
Another amusing one was one entitled Nukanakucha (RE024511). The gameplay is similar in style to Orgasm Girl (see Newgrounds). The storyline (what little there is) has this girl stuck in a bathroom window. She needs your help to get unstuck. For some reason, this requires you to do naughty things to her. (Maybe pleasure acts as a natural pain killer? Or are you supposed to be out of lubricant? :p)
One of the tentacle games I found on there: Devil Force (RE022609). Has you in control of a demon invading a magical kingdom. It's more of traditional shooter like R-Type (Ask your parents if you don't know.) It rewards you with some pics for your evil progress.
It seems to me though that alot of the problem with Japanese games is really the fact that all the text is in Japanese. Maybe if these texts were in English, some of these games would be more enjoyable. It would certainly make the RPG's easier to get through.
My final thought for Line Marvel: consider, as the next game after Mystic Girl, to have a game where the player is the tentacle monster. I actually have a rough outline of one in mind but would like to hear other peoples ideas first.
Would you LM, or anyone else for that matter, be willing to post, or link to some flash tutorials that are good for creating tentacle hentai games / animations.
Some good ones would be
- "Animating Tentacles"
- "Adding sound effects"
- "Keeping your sprites separate"
or things like this. I would guess there are quite a few people out there wanting to get better at making their own hentai, and this seems like a good starting point for them.

So long as the game has an "insemination loop" mode, similar to the animation loop mode of Demon Girl but combined with the "losing" ending where tentacles keep filling her with cum, I will be very happy. I'm sure we've all seen the Reno flash "games" where the aliens/mutants fuck and pump the girl full of cum over and over again. I'm REALLY hoping Mystic Girl has a mode like this.
Also, I hope the tentacles/creatures don't pull out this time, but blow their load in whatever orifice they're violating. That would kick tremendous ass.

i will rate mystic girl for what i think its worth and not out of favouritism...sure i like his previous work but i wont let that affect my judgement of mystic girl...i will give it a fair review but if it sux bawlz i will rate it accordingly...but usually LM's work is good so i am optimistic for MG...the only request i have of LM is to not spoil to much of his new game to us...i dont want to see all the baddies before the game is out...i would prefer to learn about them ingame :D makes it more entertaining the first time u play it...anyways this is long enough...blah and goodbye...
